Dallas, Texas July 23, 2021 –Union Gospel Mission (UGM) Dallas has partnered with iFratelli Pizza and The Original Pancake House DFW to make an impact on the 1 in 3 children living in poverty in Dallas County as they prepare to head back to school. UGM Dallas will host The Timothy Project, their first annual outdoor, community-wide event, to be held August 13, 2021, from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Center of Hope Women and Children’s Shelter located at 4815 Cass Street, Dallas.
The Timothy Project will allow families in need to register for the event at The Timothy Project and receive free school supplies, free back to school haircuts and food provided by iFratelli. Additionally, UGM Dallas is reaching out to businesses, churches and community members who would like to donate school supplies or sign up to volunteer for shifts from 8:00am to 3:00pm on August 13th by signing up at https://ugmdallas.org/event/the-timothy-project/.
“We are so thankful for our community partners and volunteers who have signed up and donated to help make The Timothy Project an opportunity for us to equip our students with the tools and confidence they need to succeed,” stated Bruce Butler, CEO of UGM Dallas. “We want these kids to know we believe in them and believe they can achieve great things. Having the necessary supplies is an important part of their success.”
The Original Pancake House DFW is collecting school supplies at all seven locations across the DFW Metroplex and offering guests who donate 10% off their meal when they dine-in Monday – Friday. “UGM Dallas is making a lasting impact on our community through the work they do with the homeless community, and we want to support that,” commented Mark Davis Bailey, Co-Owner of The Original Pancake House DFW.

Established in 1949, Union Gospel Mission Dallas (the Mission) has been restoring lives through the Word of Jesus Christ.
