As freezing temperatures have moved into the area, UGM Dallas Search & Rescue teams, in collaboration with the City of Dallas Office of Homeless Solutions and the Mayor’s Heart Response Team, are on the streets offering hot drinks, hand warmers, and an urgent message: seek safe shelter.
Teams are canvassing overpasses, homeless encampments, and parks, urging individuals to move to shelters as the cold becomes life-threatening. If you encounter someone in need who is not near a designated pickup zone, please call 311, and an operator will assist.
