THANK YOU

Thank you to all the volunteers for their time and service Need Your Help

Why We Need Your Help

One of the ways to donate to UGM Dallas is through volunteer work.  Here at the Mission, we are grateful for the support of our compassionate and reliable volunteers, many of whom are professionals utilizing their unique skills to serve clients individually and in groups. These individuals help us serve our disabled vets and the homeless men, women and children here in the Dallas community.  Without volunteers donating their time and energy to the Mission, we would not be able to offer the many expanded programs and services that allow our brothers and sisters to recover and experience our Heavenly Father’s unconditional love.  Volunteering at one of the UGM Dallas shelters is a practical way to put feet to His love.

GROUPS

Union Gospel Mission Dallas welcomes groups from churches, schools, and businesses throughout the year. All group volunteer projects begin with a tour of the shelter and overview of our mission.

Opportunities to Serve Include:

  • Food Prep
  • Stocking Shelves
  • Cleaning & Maintenance
  • Thrift Store

Volunteer One Time or on a Monthly Basis

Because we rely on volunteer workers to make all aspects of the Mission run smoothly, our goal is to provide opportunities that are best suited for most people. We also have special events for volunteers to serve such as the annual UGM Golf Classic and the annual Praise Banquet.

Volunteers serve in the kitchen, chapel, bible study, children’s chapel, general hose cleaning and working at the Thrift Store.

  • With more than 1200 meals being served daily, we can use your help to feed the homeless. We’re seeking volunteers with culinary art experience to help prep and clean the kitchen.
  • The Super Store and Vintage Ten needs you to help sort, organize, clean, stock and bag. Everything sold helps give money back to the mission and change a life.
  • Many of our clients are lacking a high school diploma. This burdens their employment opportunities. We need current or retired teachers to provide GED tutoring. Calvert Place Mondays and Wednesdays 10:00am -12:00pm and 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm.
  • With helping all the guest, daily cleaning chores are needed daily. These chores include cleaning the chapel, scrubbing the dining hall and chairs, cleaning the windows inside and out and mopping the floors.
