Abie Jacob

Dallas, TX – April 3, 2019  Union Gospel Mission (UGM) Dallas has the privilege of announcing Mr. Abie Jacob as their Volunteer of the Month for March.  Mr. Jacob is a great example of one who leads by example as he serves Sunday evenings at Calvert Place Men’s Shelter. Unafraid of getting his hands dirty and always wearing a smile, Abie is willing to help in the kitchen doing whatever needs to be done.  He has been a faithful volunteer at UGM Dallas, and his knowledge of processes and duties leads him to take the initiative to do what needs to be done without being asked.  He is well liked and respected by the kitchen staff because they can count on him to be there, get the job done, and do so with a kind and considerate attitude.  Click here for photo
“Mr. Jacob is a true asset to the work at Calvert Place.  He greets everyone with a smile and is an encouragement to those around him.  He and his family go above and beyond in their service, and we are grateful for their dedication.  We are very honored to have him as a volunteer and friend of the Mission,” commented Bruce Butler, CEO of Union Gospel Mission Dallas.  As a token of thanks for his faithful service, UGM Dallas presented Mr. Jacob with a gift certificate to The Original Pancake House DFW.
