Shelter and Housing for Women and Children

Center of Hope (COH)

A shelter and Discipleship Program site where single women with children find hope and the support needed to take the first steps toward getting their families back on their feet,  their children back in school, and emotional and spiritual healing.  COH not only provides safe shelter for homeless and abused women and their children, but showers and 3 meals a day are available to them as well.  The center is equipped with a library, learning center, life skill classes, a chapel, and a medical clinic, all on-site.  Not only do they receive shelter, but both women and children learn about Jesus and the difference only He can make in their individual lives, and in the lives of their families.  This is where hope begins.
For the children, UGM Dallas Center of Hope provides an on-site, state approved Child Development Center where children from birth through kindergarten are cared for.  This program allows women in the Discipleship Program the freedom to attend classes, apply for a job, or obtain outside medical attention, while knowing their children are in a safe and nurturing environment.
Center of Hope has the ability to house and care for up to 235 residents.  Single women with children may stay up to 90 days unless they have previously entered the Discipleship Program.
